The Evidence and Intelligence for Action in Health Department (EIH) works to harness the power of science, evidence and digital transformation to improve health for all. Its main objectives are: a) Support information systems and digital transformation for health; b) Engage in building health intelligence; c) Strengthen the ethics, evidence support and research systems; d) Knowledge management, translation and dissemination.
EIH is comprised of three units and a specialized regional center:
- Information Systems and Digital Health (EIH/IS)
- Health Analysis and Equity Metrics (EIH/HA)
- Science and Knowledge for Impact (EIH/SK)
- Latin American and Caribbean Center for Health Sciences Information BIREME
