Os Centros Colaboradores da OMS (CCs) são instituições como universidades, hospitais, institutos de pesquisa, academias ou ministérios que foram designados para realizar atividades de apoio aos programas da Organização. Isso é conseguido alinhando os planos de trabalho do CC com vários mandatos e documentos orientadores da Organização. Um desses instrumentos é a Agenda 2030 para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS). Em junho de 2019, a OPAS lançou uma iniciativa para identificar, entre outras informações, os resultados mais significativos produzidos pela colaboração entre a Organização e os Centros Colaboradores da OPAS/OMS (CCs), num período de 1º de janeiro de 2015 a 31 de dezembro de 2019.
Essa iniciativa incluída uma pesquisa realizada com todo o pessoal da OPAS que trabalha com os CCs e a partir das conclusões da pesquisa, este panorama foi criado para destacar esses resultados e demonstrar como essas colaborações estão contribuindo para a realização dos planos e programas da Organização e, finalmente, às suas prioridades e mandatos.
