Washington DC, 25 August 2022 (PAHO)- The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) held the webinar " Community of Practice for Nursing in the Region of the Americas - Launch of the Platform" with the aim of presenting and encouraging participants to use the Community of Practice.
The Community of Practice for Nursing in the Region of the Americas is an initiative of PAHO/WHO with the aim of bringing together nurses and other interested parties, enhancing the exchange of experiences, information, and knowledge, and strengthening nurses' leadership in their professional roles.
At the event panelists presented the platform's resources and interactive spaces, as well as the report of the adolescent health working group, who were the first professionals to join and use the Community of Practice.
It is expected that this will be a space for interaction to build competencies, enhance capacities and obtain better health results in the Region of the Americas with the contribution of the nursing workforce.
The seminar was attended by more than 300 nurses and other interested persons representing ministries of health, universities, associations and colleges of nursing and health services, from 28 countries.
