PAHO/CDB Training for journalists and health communicators:
“Doing What Matters in Times of Stress for Journalists and Health Communicators.”
WHAT: PAHO/WHO and the Caribbean Development Bank, in association with the Caribbean Broadcasting Union, invites journalists and communicators to participate in the final of a series of four training sessions on how to ensure informative, responsible, safe and evidence-based coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on mental health-related topics.
This session will focus on the impact of the work of journalists and communicators on their own wellness, particularly during these stressful times in the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will have an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the concepts of personal and work-related stress. The interactive session will also provide practical tips and recommendations for dealing/coping with stress with an emphasis on the importance of self-care and wellness.
