We kindly invite you to participate in the webinar "Coping with COVID-19 stress during the hurricane season " on Thursday, August 27th, as part of the MHPSS/COVID-19 webinar series, organized by the Government of the Virgin Islands and the Mental Health Unit at the Department of Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health of the Pan American Health Organization.
The threat of recurring natural hazards, such as hurricanes and seismic activity, can create stress and anxiety for people who have experienced these traumatic events before and those who find themselves at risk. This year is a particularly challenging period, as BVI copes with the COVID-19 pandemic in the midst of hurricane season. It is normal to feel worried, anxious and uncertain in the face of such circumstances, and taking care of our mental wellbeing during this time is just as important as caring for our physical health.
