The COVID-19 pandemic posed a challenge for health systems that had to take regulatory decisions to ensure timely access to medicines and other health technologies, including vaccines, blood and derivatives, medical devices, reagents and in vitro diagnostics that are quality, safe and effective to the population.
The 10th edition of the Conference of the Pan American Network for Drug Regulatory Harmonization (PANDRH) provides a virtual space to discuss the contribution of regulatory systems in the response to the pandemic, as well as the lessons learned and post-COVID-19 regulatory challenges with PANDRH members and experts from the Region of the Americas and worldwide.
The 10th The Conference took place online on the 6, 8 and 10 December 2021.
National Regulatory Authorities will play key role in stepping up vaccines manufacturing in Latin America and the Caribbean. Three-day conference brought together national health and pharmaceutical regulatory authorities to discuss lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and how to tackle new oversight challenges under emerging global dynamics.

The 10th edition of the Pan American Network for Drug Regulatory Harmonization (PANDRH) Conference was organized as a virtual summit, for the very first time, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Participants included representatives from national regulatory authorities (NRAs) of the Americas, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the pharmaceutical industry, and nongovernmental organizations, among others.
The Conference took place on the 6, 8, and 10 December 2021 under the theme The Regulatory Systems in the Health Agenda Post COVID-19.
