ProVac
Promotion of evidence-based decision making for the introduction of new vaccines
PAHO's ProVac Initiative was launched in 2004 to provide technical cooperation for the promotion of evidence-based decision making prior the introduction of new vaccines. ProVac currently focuses on pneumococcal, rotavirus, human papilloma-virus (HPV) and influenza vaccines. In the near future ProVac plans to include other priority vaccines in their tool-kit for decision making support at country-level such as IPV, hepatitis A, meningococcal, dengue, malaria, and cholera vaccines.
