Washington D.C. September 24, 2023: The Pan American Health Organization, in coordination with the Virtual Campus for Public Health, presents the English version of the course "Introduction to the Renewed Essential Public Health Functions (EPHF)." The primary objective of this online course is to introduce the new conceptual framework of EPHF, providing key concepts of its evaluation methodology and strengthening the stewardship of health authorities.
The goal is to inspire participants to identify their personal contributions and become agents of change in advancing universal health.
Based on this new conceptual framework, the self-paced course is structured into two modules, comprising multimedia lessons, exercises, and essential bibliography accessible through the virtual classroom. The approximate duration of the course is 10 hours. The self-paced format allows participants to adjust their study schedules and reflect on the application of their learning to the realities of their country.
To successfully complete the course, participants must achieve a minimum score of 70% on the final evaluation questionnaire, available after completing all course lessons. Upon passing the final evaluation and completing the satisfaction survey on the Virtual Campus, participants will be able to download the course certificate. They will also have continued access to the course videos for future reference and use beyond the virtual classroom.
