Brazil (Update)
On 9 May 2024, the Government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, published updated information on the heavy rains affecting 428 municipalities of the state (3 increase since the 8 May report).

Uruguay
On 8 May 2024, the Uruguay National Emergency System published information on heavy rains affecting the five departments of the country. According to the report, 1,347 were displaced throughout the country (584 increase since the 7 May report; they are geographically distributed across the departments of Treinta y Tres (n=620), Paysandú (n=269), Salto (n=127), Cerro Lago (n=103), Tacuarembó (n=73), Artigas (n=10), and Río Negro (n=10).
