Under the theme “Our planet. Our health.”, this year’s observation of World Health Day on 7 April 2022 challenges us to reimagine our world for a healthier tomorrow. Considering the realities of climate change and its threat to human health, mitigative and adaptive actions are urgent for the protection of life and the preservation of the planet. Every sector has a role in creating a healthier world by promoting healthier living and taking strategic actions to create conditions for people to thrive.
Using the One Health Approach, the Office of The Prime Minister (OPM), in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the Department of Environmental Planning and Protection, the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), and the University of the Bahamas will facilitate a film competition for high school and college students with the purpose of raising awareness between the linkages between climate change and health and encouraging youth advocacy and leadership in this area.
High school students and college students are encouraged to submit entries for the film competition. World Health Day 2022 Film Competition - PAHO/WHO | Pan American Health Organization
