Context

The formulation, implementation, and monitoring of policies that improve access to health technologies are a fundamental pillar in the health systems of our region of the Americas. Among these, policies related to the management of health technology prices are a crucial tool for public policy makers and other interested stakeholders. Aware of this, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and specifically the Department of Innovation, Access to Medicines, and Health Technologies (IMT) promote the development of discussion and reflection spaces for decision-makers in this area in the Americas region.

About the Webinar

The objective of this webinar is to provide an overview of policies that promote access to medicines and health technologies through price management (pricing policies) in the Americas region, present a couple of countries’ experiences in price management from different perspectives, and reflect on the progress and challenges in this area.
