Transatlantic Dialogue on Extreme Heat and Health

Transatlantic Dialogue on Extreme Heat and Health

 Context

The Transatlantic Dialogue on Extreme Heat and Health is the first in a series of a joint initiative by WHO/Europe, the Pan American Health Organization, and the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

This virtual event aims to foster collaboration and the exchange of experiences among Member States across the Atlantic, focusing on the critical issue of extreme heat and health. So, it aims to contribute to discussions on strengthening health system and community resilience against heatwaves and extreme heat.

This platform will provide input to develop a summary for policy-makers on different approaches and opportunities to tackle extreme heat in Member States on both sides of the Atlantic.
