Objective
The PAHO, through its ITM department is conducting this webinar to highlight the relevance of documents, registries, and internal audit processes to support traceability processes and compliance with the good manufacturing practices (GMP) in blood services.
This activity is a continuation of the courses conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in English and French and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Spanish and Portuguese developed last year to strengthen regulation and good practices in blood services.
The advance course on "Good Manufacturing Practices in Blood Services" aims to provide support to blood service personnel, officials from National Blood Programs, and national regulatory authorities for blood products in implementing quality processes, organizing blood services in efficient and sustainable models, and increasing quality plasma for the production of Plasma-Derived Medicinal Products (PDMP) and thus achieve the regional goal of universal access to safe blood.
