The PAHO Mental Health Unit in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, cordially invites you to the virtual launch of the Understanding Stigma and Strengthening Cognitive Behavioral Interpersonal Skills Virtual Course 2021, on Thursday, 19 August 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm (EDT).

This program introduces learners to Understanding Stigma which is a self-directed web-based program designed to provide professionals with an opportunity to recognize attitudes and behaviors that could potentially lead to stigma, its impact, and practical approaches to address some of its challenges. 

Additionally, the “Cognitive Behavioral Interpersonal Skills component” is a tutor facilitated skills-building course designed to improve skills and reduced the sense of helplessness and anxiety, when caring for people living with mental health conditions.
