How health sector reform impact barriers to access: are our health systems prepared to move towards resilience and universal access to health?

This event seeks to convene high-level decision-makers from the Member States and international experts to discuss the situation on access barriers, the impact of the pandemic on access to health services, and its relationship with policy initiatives. The guest speakers will share countries’ experiences in analyzing and addressing access barriers as a starting point for developing resilient health systems based on PHC.


OBJECTIVES

  • To problematize the situation on access barriers, the impact of the pandemic on access to health services, and its relationship with policy initiatives.

  • To share experiences of countries in the region in the analysis and addressing of access barriers as a starting point for the development of resilient health systems based on PHC,

  • To highlight the institutional capacities of health authorities that must be strengthened for the whole exercise of the EPHF and addressing of access barriers.
