The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), is pleased to invite you to the webinar series on the Advances on Equity to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3), which will take place on 9 and 10 May 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (EDT). The seminars are part of a process to recover the loss experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic of what had been achieved up to that moment, and to accelerate the path towards the achievement of the 2030 agenda in the Region.

The objective of the seminars is to promote the exchange of innovative and successful practices between countries specifically related to the goals of SDG 3.

Simultaneous interpretation will be available in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Guyana: actions being taken to
expand the essential package of services to build a more robust accessible first level of care, integrating essential health services. The process has required an assessment of the current service offer, the costing of an expanded set of services, the analysis of the health services network to identify access/coverage gaps, and investments in HR and hospital capacity. Significant increases in national investment in health is expected as a consequence (3.8)
