Flyer - Call for abstracts on interventions against AMR at the community level in Latin America and the Caribbean

Through this call for abstracts, we seek to identify and disseminate experiences of interventions or actions taken at the community level to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We are looking for actions/interventions that have made a difference in preventing or controlling AMR and that can serve as examples of best practices in the Americas. Deadline: October 31, 2021 To guide the development of your abstracts, we propose an outline below, that includes an introduction, description of the action, results, and conclusions. The document may have a maximum of 3 pages. We encourage you to describe your interventions in the to facilitate a more systematic collection of country experiences. However, we also encourage you to send us photographs or videos of the action/intervention. Proposed outline
We invite physicians, nurses, health promoters, health workers, professionals or collaborating partners working in the public, private or civil society sectors to document their experiences in preventing and containing AMR, including actions related to:
Requirements: Abstracts will be accepted individually or on behalf of an institution, organization, or collectivity. Download the PDF for more information. Selection: An evaluation committee will review the abstracts and select the best 3 abstracts based on pre-established criteria, including the potential impact of the action. What will we do with the abstracts? The best 3 abstracts will be presented during the regional event “Empowering communities against AMR in the context of COVID-19” to be held from November 10 to 12, 2021.
