ECHO Latin America (ELA) Project: A monthly teleconference program to exchange information on cervical cancer programs

The World Health Organization/Pan American Health Organization (WHO/PAHO), and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, together with the National Cancer Institute of the United States, invites you to participate in the ECHO Latin America (ELA) program: Prevention and Control of Cervical Cancer.

This program is part of PAHO's Regional Plan of Action and the Global Initiative for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer to support the Ministries of Health to develop and implement the National Plans for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer. The focus of this program is to have regional discussions about primary prevention (vaccination), as well as cervical cancer detection and control in Latin America.

The goal of the ECHO ELA Project is to help the different countries achieve the World Health Organization's Cervical Cancer Elimination goals: goals of 90-70-90 (90% coverage of HPV vaccination; 70% of screening; and 90% treatment).

Teleconference Mentoring Program

The ECHO® Project (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) is a monthly program of teleconferences through which mentoring is provided using technology and collaboration. The dissemination of best practices is increased, using case studies as a fundamental basis for learning. The meetings are held through the ZOOM platform and consist of update discussions, as well as case presentations by the participants.

This program is aimed for collaborators from Ministries of Health and associated leadership teams in Latin America, and clinical providers focused on the prevention of cervical cancer.

Sessions are held in Spanish, and there is no cost to participate in the ECHO ELA Project teleconferences. Teleconferences will be held monthly for over 12 months.
