Survey for WHO Member States / States Parties to the IHR - Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) related to the multi-country outbreak of mpox

On July 23rd, 2022, WHO Director-General determined that the mpox multi-country outbreak constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), and issued Temporary Recommendations, following the meetings of the International Health Regulations (2005) (IHR) Mpox Emergency Committee.

In the context of the Mpox PHEIC, the World Health Organization (WHO) is undertaking a survey on Member States/States Parties (MS/SP) response efforts to the global outbreak of mpox.

The completion of this survey intends to further engage all MS/SP in the implementation of temporary recommendations, cultivate a sense of mutual accountability, and prompt reflection on the current domestic readiness and response arrangements related to the outbreak. The information provided will also allow WHO and PAHO to identify gaps in the global response and provide further guidance and/or technical support to address them.

These two surveys will be active until May 1st, 2023.
