Within the framework of the 35th anniversary of the Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS), BIREME, the Latin American and Caribbean Center for Information in Health Sciences, which is part of the Department of Evidence and Intelligence for Action in Health of the Pan American Health Organization (EIH/PAHO) launches an innovative service, the DeCS/MeSH Finder.
DeCS/MeSH Finder is a tool developed for researchers, scientific editors, librarians and health professionals that allows you to easily and automatically find the descriptors of an article or document. To use it, just copy and paste the text (abstract or full text) in Spanish, Portuguese, English or French, that the DeCS/MeSH Finder locates the descriptors quickly and accurately. The service is expected to revolutionize the use of the DeCS/MeSH vocabulary for the selective and precise search of information.
