The Forum on the Continuum of Care was held in Mexico City, May 26-28, with the aim of contributing to the expansion and sustainability of the HIV response, in particular of comprehensive care, through partnerships between national programs, health services, skilled clinicians and representatives of civil society, to reduce the number of new infections and achieve the greatest possible number of people with effective and sustained viral suppression. The participants, 141 people from 26 countries including representatives of National HIV/AIDS Programs, scientists, academics and experts in HIV, civil society and collaborating organizations and sponsors of the event, recognized key elements of HIV care and treatment and produced a Call to Action to guide the regional and national response to HIV towards the 90-90-90 goals at 2020.
