3 March 2020 - The Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPSSR) course 2019 is now available, the objective of which is to provide skills to implement new Maternal and Perinatal Death Audit Committees or strengthen existing committees.
Understanding the basic concepts of maternal and perinatal mortality, the data and indicators applied to them, the importance of data quality for monitoring and decision-making are some of the purposes of this course aimed at Medical doctors and general practitioners, Nursing, Midwives / Obstetricians, Gynecologists, Pediatricians and neonatologistsProfessionals involved in management and administrative activities of different institutions related to maternal and perinatal health.
The contents will allow participants to acquire knowledge on the definition of maternal and perinatal death, the cycle of continuous improvement applied to auditing, the creation and strengthening of audit committees and the planning of responses to prevent new maternal and perinatal deaths.
The course is open and available on the virtual public health campus. As it is a self-learning course, participants can regulate their times and moments of dedication. When including the estimated time to complete the modules and the Final Evaluation, the Course is assigned a total of 3 hours.
