The organization will explain the selection process of initiatives that try to help improve research and development of medicines for low and middle income countries
Washington, D.C., 23 August 2013 (PAHO/WHO)—Civil society representatives will today receive a report of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) on how to present innovative projects of research and development in order to accelerate development of medicines and other health technologies.
This virtual meeting, will take place this 23 August 2013 at 10:00 a.m. (Washington, D.C. time) and it is part of a global effort to select research and development projects initiated by the different WHO regional offices. The objective of these demonstrations projects will be to demonstrate the use of innovative mechanisms to coordinate and finance the development health technologies in low and middle income countries in order to improve access to life saving products.
