On May 20, 2020, the Central Medical Laboratory of Belize received an additional 3000 viral swabs from the PAHO/WHO Belize country office.
These viral swabs are an essential component for the testing of COVID-19. With much appreciation, the Acting Director of the laboratory, Mr. Juvencio Chan, received the swabs on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
“Thank you for your continued support against COVID-19,” said Mr. Chan.
PAHO/WHO Belize continues to support the country in strengthening the health system to effectively respond to COVID-19.
