On July 10, 2012, the Global Business Forum invited Dr. Mirta Roses Periago, Director, PAHO/WHO, to a luncheon at the Georgetown Club in her honor where she shared her views on the new Pan American Forum for Action on Non-Communicable Diseases (PAF NCD) and the other priorities of PAHO.
On July 10, 2012, the Global Business Forum invited Dr. Mirta Roses Periago, Director, PAHO/WHO, to a luncheon at the Georgetown Club in her honor where she shared her views on the new Pan American Forum for Action on Non-Communicable Diseases (PAF NCD) and the other priorities of PAHO. The luncheon was attended by representatives from Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK), Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Merck, Sanofi, and Unilever. She was accompanied by Irene Klinger, Senior Advisor, Partnerships and Multi-Sector Collaboration; James Hill, Advisor, External Relations, Resource Mobilization, and Partnerships, as well as Eleanor Brtva, the new Vice President for Development at the Pan American Health and Education Foundation ( PAHEF). Dr. Roses took advantage of the occasion to thank Unilever which has been one of three companies that have made significant financial contributions to the PAF NCD.
