October 18, 2022 (PAHO) — The Government of Canada and the PAHO Revolving Fund are continuing efforts to deliver vaccine-related supplies. From August to October, Barbados and the British Virgin Islands received Safety Boxes and Syringes to support vaccination activities. Barbados received 150,000 syringes and 2,600 safety boxes, while the British Virgin Islands added to their stock 12,000 syringes.
By the end of this month, Trinidad and Tobago will receive the shipment of 750,000 syringes.
The Government of Canada and PAHO collaboration recently included in its scope to support countries with their current commitments to the Revolving Fund, alleviating financial constraints and facilitating vaccination. Likewise, it involves technical advising and global procurement coordination.
