Hygiene, access to safe water and sanitation are factors that contribute to the elimination of communicable diseases, including neglected infectious diseases. This document presents a set of tools to help countries and programs to combat neglected infectious diseases, to collaborate with the community related to water, sanitation and hygiene actions, and guides in the creation of alliances, in mobilizing of resources and in the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions.
Those interested in using this document are expected to be able to choose the tools and adapt them to their needs and local context.
