Using the One Health Approach, the Office of The Prime Minister (OPM), in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the Department of Environmental Planning and Protection, the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), and the University of The Bahamas will facilitate a World Health Day Multigovernmental Symposium on Monday April 11th, 2022.
This year’s observation of World Health Day challenges us to reimagine our world for a healthier tomorrow. Under the theme “Our planet. Our health”, the state of the environment and the health of our people are measures of our sustainable development and our survival. Every sector has a role in creating a healthier world by promoting healthier living and taking strategic actions to create conditions for people to live better lives.
