Brazil (Update)
On 12 May 2024, the Government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, published updated information on the heavy rains affecting 447 municipalities of the state (10 increase since the 10 May report). The reports are available from: Governo do RS 13 May and Governo do RS 10 May
Uruguay
On 12 May 2024, the Uruguay National Emergency System published information on heavy rains affecting the five departments of the country. According to the report, 3,034 were displaced throughout the country (1,687 increase since the 8 May report); they are geographically distributed across the departments of Paysandú (n=998), Treinta y Tres (n=715), Salto (n=530), Durazno (n=457), Cerro Lago (n=129), Tacuarembó (n=44), Artigas (n=95), Rocha (n=40), and Soriano (n=26).
