On 10 May 2024, the Government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, published updated information on the heavy rains affecting 437 municipalities of the state (9 increase since the 9 May report).

Uruguay (Update)
On 9 May 2024, the Uruguay National Emergency System published information on heavy rains affecting the ten departments of the country (5 increase since the 8 May report). According to the report, 2,184 were displaced nationally (837 increase since the 8 May report), with the geographic distribution being in the departments of Treinta y Tres (n=1,130), Paysandú (n=454), Salto (n=243), Cerro Lago (n=130), Durazno (n=109), Tacuarembó (n=46), Artigas (n=25), Rocha (n=23), Soriano (n=14), and Río Negro (n=10).
