Guatemala (Update)

On 9 July 2024, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published updated information on the rainy season in the country. There have been 1,171 severe rain incidents reported nationally (202 increase since the 2 July report). According to the report, 6,774 people were directly impacted (238 increase), 16,886 people were evacuated (942 increase), 715 people are sheltered (196 increase), and there were 15 deaths (2 increase). In addition, 334 homes were severely damaged (16 increase) and 5,788 homes were moderately damaged (181 increase). The report is available from: CONRED
