Ecuador
On 7 March, the Ecuador National Service for Risk and Emergency Management (SNGRE per its acronym in Spanish) reported there were 61 events related to severe weather were reported in 27 cantons of 11 provinces in the country between 4-6 March. The most affected provinces were El Oro, Loja, and Pichincha; in total, 33 houses sustained damages, 51 people and 1,150 meters of road were affected. According to a media report, the winter season caused 5,430 severe weather events in 107 cantons affecting 7,208 people, causing the deaths of 32 people, and causing 70 injuries. There were 1,026 houses with damages, 115 houses were destroyed, 20,418 meters of road were affected, and 8,332.5 agricultural hectares were damaged. Peru
On 6 March, the Peru National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish) reported heavy rains in the district of San Juan de La Virgen, in the province and department of Tumbes, that caused damage to 11 houses, affecting 18 people, and destroyed 4 houses, affecting 6 people. The affected people have been temporarily evacuated to homes of neighbors as humanitarian assistance is distributed. Heavy rains in the La Cruz District of Tumbes also caused damage to 7 houses, affecting 14 people, and destroyed 2 houses, affecting 4 people. The report is available at: INDECI.
United States of America
On 7 March, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported severe weather in the Midwest region of the country between 5-6 March that caused 36 tornados, flash flooding, wind damage, and hail. The states that were predominantly affected were Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Missouri. In total, 35 tornados touched down in Iowa, 1 was reported in Wisconsin, and 1 touched town in Indiana. There were 127 wind reports in the states of Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, and 29 hail reports in Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin. In Iowa, 25-30 houses were damaged or destroyed, 7 fatalities and 6 injuries occurred. The report is available at: FEMA.

On 6 March, according to media reports, persistent heavy rains have continuously affected the municipality of Urabá in the department of Antioquia due to a landslide that occurred which caused a blockage of a tributary of the Murindó River and flooding. Initial reports have indicated that 2,500 people were affected including indigenous communities that live close to the riverbank. In total, 70% of the Antioquia territory is on alert due to risk of additional landslides. In Medellin, Antioquia, the heavy rains decreased the quality of the La Iguaná creek basin which has caused the suspension of water services to 9,511 families in the neighborhoods of San Javier La Loma, Peñitas, Antonio Nariño, upper part, Loma Hermosa, Asomadera, and Corregimiento de San Cristóbal. In addition, in the department of Santander, an orange alert was declared due to constant heavy rains that caused landslides, as well as for the risk of overflowing of water sources such as rivers and streams.
