On 4 July 2023, the Civil Protection of Mexico, published information on the heavy rains occurring in Mexico City. The rainfall has caused flooding, tree falls, damage to roads, and affected the subway system. The Department of Risk Management (SGIRPC per its acronym in Spanish) has activated the red alert to the areas of Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, and Magdalena Contreras. Media is reporting 15 homes were flooded in the areas of Polanco and La Condesa, Mexico City. Additionally, on 30 June 2023, the Mexico Department for Security and Citizen Protection (CNCP per its acronym in Spanish) had published information on preparedness activities being carried out to be able to respond to and attend to populations expected to be affected by tropical storm Beatriz in the country. There are 2,680 temporary shelters available that will be activated as needed: 762 in Guerrero, 270 in Michoacán, 236 in Colima, 1,243 in Jalisco, and 169 in Baja California Sur. On 2 July, media reported the tropical storm caused roads to flood and collapse, tree falls, and power outages in the states of Sinaloa, Colima, Michoacán, and Jalisco, as well as reporting one death in Sinaloa. In addition, media is reporting that the heavy rains are affecting the municipality of Tizayuca, in the state of Hidalgo, with 110 homes affected.
