Guatemala (Update)

On 4 September, the Guatemala National Coordination for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published updated information of the ongoing rainy season. According to the information, there were 1,615 related incidents nationally (60 increase since the 30 August report). As of 4 September, there were 8,573 directly impacted people (193 increase) and 23,944 evacuated people (426 increase). In addition, 8,566 homes were affected (186 increase), of which 7,410 presented moderate damage, 776 with minor damage, and 383 were severely damaged. The report is available from: CONRED

 

Panama

On 1 September 2024, the Panama National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC per its acronym in Spanish) provided assistance to the provinces of Veraguas, Panamá Oeste, Herrera, and Panamá, affected by the heavy rains. Wildfires

Bolivia (Update)

On 3 September 2024, the Bolivia Ministry of Defense (MINDEF per its acronym in Spanish) provided humanitarian support to the indigenous communities. According to the information, 3,600 families were affected due to the wildfires. On 2 September 2024, the Ministry of Health and Sports of Bolivia, provided health assistance services for 4,911 persons affected by the wildfires in the departments of Santa Cruz, Beni, and Pando. United States of America (Update)

On 3 September 2024, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) published updated information on the wildfires in the Klamath County, Oregon State, in the United States of America. A total of 3,500 ACRES have burned. A total of 462 mandatory evacuations were reported. According to the information, 7 homes were destroyed. The report is available from: FEMA
