Hurricane
On 1 September 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), updated the information regarding the passage of Hurricane Idalia. In the state of Florida, eight shelters were opened (decrease of 106 since the 31 August report) with 133 occupants (4,791 increase), and 97,000 people were without power. Additionally, 60 medical facilities were fully or partially evacuated. In the state of Georgia one shelter was opened with 55 occupants.
