United States of America (Update)

On 4 October 2024, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided an update on the impact of Post-Tropical Cyclone Helene in the United States. In North Carolina, 60 deaths were reported (four increase since the 3 October report) and 22 shelters were opened housing 1,162 people (decrease of 117). In South Carolina, there were 39 deaths (three increase) reported. In Georgia, eleven shelters were opened housing 558 people (38 increase). The report is available from: FEMA
