On 4 December 2024, the Bolivia (Plurinational State of) Ministry of Defense (MINDEF per its acronym in Spanish) delivered humanitarian assistance to families affected by the landslide in the municipality of Villa Tunari, located in the department of Cochabamba. MINDEF also declared an orange alert due to the rains in the department. Media reports indicate 11 deaths and 300 families affected by the flooding and landslides caused by the heavy rains.
