Guatemala (Update)
On 4 August 2023, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published an update on the rainy season in the country. There have been 547 severe rain weather incidents reported (63 increase since the 2 August report). At least 1,452,986 people were affected (320,447 increase), 17,940 people were attended to (1,151 increase), 4,224 people were evacuated (172 increase), at least 8,726 people are considered at risk (30 increase), and 22 deaths were reported (2 increase). In addition, 2,962 homes were moderately affected (207) and 111 (11 increase) were severe damaged. The report is available from: CONRED
