Colombia (Update) 

On 29 March, the Medellín Administrative Department of Disaster Risk Management (DAGRD per its acronym in Spanish), reported heavy rains in Laureles, Estadio, Poblado, Buenos Aires, and downtown Medellín. According to a media report, the Medellín Official Fire Department has attended 27 emergencies due to the rains and assisted the affected population. In Antioquia, since the beginning of the rainy season, 52 weather events were affected 6,576 people, and caused 3 fatalities. In addition, 268 houses were affected. Dominican Republic   

On 29 March, the Dominican Republic Emergency Operations Center (COE per its acronym in Spanish), reported that the provinces of Puerto Plata, La Vega, Santiago, and Espaillat are on yellow alert due to risk of flooding caused by the passage of a frontal system that is currently stagnant over the country. According to media reports, due to rains, in Santo Domingo, 43 houses were affected and 215 people were displaced from their homes. In Puerto Plata, the overflow of the Yasica River has affected 15 houses and displaced 75 people. In addition, 12 aqueducts sustained damages affecting 116,371 people. On 29 March, according to media reports, the municipalities of Boca do Acre, Eirunepé, Envira, Guajará, Ipixuna, and Pauini along the Juruá and Purus rivers have declared states of emergency due to flooding. In Boca do Acre, 1,600 families were affected, 600 of which reside in urban areas. Affected residents were placed in temporary shelters in the central area of the city. In Eirunepé, flooding of the Juruá River has affected more than 12,000 people; in the urban area more than 2,270 houses are submerged under water displacing 6,947 people; in the rural area, 1,474 houses were flooded, displacing 5,306 people. In Guajará, 1,320 families were affected by flooding and in Ipixuna, 1,500 families were affected in the urban area and 2,200 families were affected in the rural area.
