On 3 March 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published information on the passage of 5 tornadoes in Texas and 1 in Louisiana, with active tornado watches in effect. Downed trees, power lines, and debris in Texas contributed to the closure of 2 roads and 108,000 people were without power; additionally, 7 homes were destroyed in Hopkins County, Texas.
