On 2 December 2024, the Brazilian Communication Agency (EBC per its acronym in Portuguese) eported on severe rainfall that struck the state of Rio Grande do Sul on 1 December 2024. The heavy downpour impacted 35 municipalities, leaving approximately 529,000 structures without electricity. Guatemala

On 3 December, the Guatemala National Coordination for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) updated their information on the heavy rains associated to the cold front in the country. As of 3 December, 233 emergencies incidents were reported and 315 people were directly impacted. Additionally, 4,370 people were evacuated and 3,036 people were sheltered.
