On 29 January 2024, the City Hall of the Dário Meira municipality, in the state of Bahia, Brazil, declared emergency due to the heavy rains in the municipality, occurred on 26 and 27 January. A media reported that 100 families were displaced. The reports are available at: Dario Meira and Globo.com
Peru
On 28 January 2024, the Peru Civil Protection (INDECI per its acronym in Spanish), published updated information on the heavy rains affecting several departments in Peru. Additionally, the department of Huancavelica (n=5) and Ayacucho (n=10 affected and n= 2 destroyed) reported healthcare facilities affected.
