On 28 June 2024, the Chile Ministry of the Interior and Civil Protection (SENAPRED per its acronym in Spanish) published information on the severe weather in the regions of La Araucanía and Los Lagos. In the region of La Araucanía, there were 136 people directly impacted, 68 homes were affected, 13 people are being sheltered, and 1,685 people are without communication. In the Region of Los Ríos, three people were directly impacted, 32 homes were affected, four people are being sheltered, and 398 people are without communication.
