Chile (Update)

On 28 June 2023, the Chile Ministry of the Interior and Civil Protection (SENAPRED per its acronym in Spanish) published updated information on the frontal system occurring in the central-southern region of the country. SENAPRED reports 19,469 people were affected (6,453 increase since the 26 June report) and 14,395 people isolated (4,581 increase since the 25 June report). Additionally, 1,611 homes were destroyed (190 increase) and 1,393 homes suffered severe damage (369 increase). The report is available from: SENAPRED

Guatemala (Update) 
On 28 June 2023, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published an update on the rainy season in the country. There have been 194 severe rain weather incidents reported (68 increase since the 15 June report). There were at least 424,379 people affected in total (258,786 increase), 3,384 people were attended to (1,059 increase), 7,894 people are categorized as at risk (385 increase), and 1,505 people were evacuated (567 increase). In addition, 607 houses were moderately damaged (198 increase) and 33 severely damaged (9 increase). The report is available at: CONRED
