On 25 September 2024, the government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, reported providing support in the municipality of Camaquã to people affected by the heavy rains. Media is reporting 865 people were displaced due to the severe weather in the municipalities of Camaquã (n= 700), Pedro Osório (n= 44), Cerrito (n=40), Pelotas (n= 27), Bagé (n= 26), Rio Grande (n= 18), Dom Pedrito (n= 4), Lavras do Sul (n= 4), and Barão do Triunfo (n= 2). The reports are available from: Defesa Civil RS and Terra

On 26 September 2024, the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that Hurricane Helene is moving toward the state of Florida, with tropical storm conditions occurring along Florida's west coast. The United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) informed that the government of Florida declared a state of emergency for 41 counties. Additionally, the counties of Gulf, Franklin, Taylor, Manatee, and Charlotte issued mandatory evacuation orders, while two counties, Gadsden and Sarasota, issued voluntary evacuations. According to PowerOutage.us, 128,992 people are currently without power in Florida. The government of Georgia has also declared a state of emergency.
