On 26 May, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided an update on the Hermit’s Peak fire in San Miguel, New Mexico. The fire has become stagnant since 25 May and has burned 311,148 acres and is 46% contained. There remain 2,879 residents under mandatory evacuation orders and 24,663 residents under voluntary evacuation orders. There were 36 structures and 20 houses that sustained damage, and 399 houses and 346 structures were destroyed. In total 50 people were injured. The report is available at FEMA.
