On 26 March 2024, the Brazil Agency of Communication (EBC per its acronym in Portuguese) published information on the heavy rains occurring in the state of Espírito Santo. The report indicates 7,708 people have been displaced, 7 people are missing, and there were 20 deaths in the municipalities of Mimoso do Sul (n=18) and Apiacá (n=2). The sever weather has most affected the municipalities of Apiacá, Mimoso do Sul, Vargem Alta Muniz Freire and Bom Jesus do Norte. The report is available from: EBC
