Brazil (Update)
On 24 May 2024, the Government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, published updated information on the heavy rains affecting 469 municipalities of the state (one increase since the 23 May report).

Ecuador (Update)
On 22 May 2024, the Ecuador Risk Management Secretariat published an update on the heavy rains affecting the country since 29 January 2024. There have been 191,282 people affected (3,547 increase since the 20 May report), 3,642 people have been directly impacted (95 increase), 43,566 homes were affected (634 increase), and 300 homes were destroyed (11 increase).
