On 23 October 2023, the Sinaloa State government of Mexico published information regarding the passage of Tropical Storm Norma on 22 October 2023. There have been 3 deaths reported and 375 families affected in Sinaloa. In additional 120 temporary shelters were opened and 1,744 people are being sheltered. Media is reporting that 125,000 users are without electricity in the municipality of Navolato, Sinaloa. The reports are available from: Sinaloa.gob and elsiglodetorreon

Guatemala (Update)

On 23 October 2023, the Guatemala National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) published an update on the rainy season in the country. There have been 1,136 severe rain incidents reported nationally (1 increase since the 20 October report). At least 3,874,043 people were affected (11,496 increase), 43,093 people were attended, 19,876 people were evacuated (16 increase), 14,670 people are considered at risk, and 961 people are being sheltered.
