On 22 June 2023, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), published an update on severe weather impacting the US Central and Southern Plains, with 14 tornado touchdowns reported across Texas, Colorado, and Nebraska overnight. Preliminary damage assessments suggest numerous structures destroyed near Matador, Texas. Additionally, 4 deaths and 9 injuries were reported. The report is available from: FEMA
